Hi, I’m Kate!

I am a certified dog trainer through the Pro Program at CATCH, a canine trainers academy. I specialize in fear-free, reward-based training, a proven method that helps dogs learn effectively while strengthening the bond between them and their handlers.

I am also a professional equestrian with a bachelor’s degree in equine business management and over 20 years of experience training horses and riders. Dogs and horses go together naturally, and for the past two decades, I have had an Australian Cattle Dog as a loyal sidekick, helping me guide equine clients with their dogs alongside their horses.

In 2022, I began fostering shelter dogs through ACCT Philly, Philadelphia’s only open-intake animal shelter. My first foster, Shelly, had severe separation anxiety, which ignited my passion for dog training, behavior analysis, and modification. Since then, every dog I have worked with—through fostering or volunteering—has brought unique behavioral challenges, fueling my dedication to helping dogs thrive.

If your goal is a happier, more confident, and well-behaved dog, I can help. Whether your dog has behavioral challenges, or you are welcoming a new dog into your family and aren’t sure where to start, I create customized plans to set you and your dog up for success. It’s never too late, and every dog can learn new skills and thrives.
